I’m sharing this because I want people to understand where I’m coming from and what I’m going through. I don’t want to keep explaining myself or defending myself against random accusations. My hope is that being open about my health helps you understand me and feel comfortable in this community.
My autoimmune disease affects both my physical and mental health. If you live with it, you may understand. If you don’t, I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. I hope and pray things improve, but I also know this may be something I live with long term. Some medications haven’t worked for me, and I’m continuing to look for treatments that help.
I have a family of five who mean everything to me. My skincare routine matters to me, too. I want to enjoy my family, the things I love, and my life without constantly dealing with drama, fighting, or people picking at me.
